데이터사이언스학부 전공이수 체계도를 첨부와 같이 안내합니다.
전공이수 체계도는 교육과정에 포함된 교과목을 학년별·학기별 권장 이수 흐름에 따라 정리한 자료입니다.
신입생, 외국인학생 및 교육과정 이수 구조에 익숙하지 않은 학생들이 전공 교과목의 전체적인 흐름을 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 제작되었습니다.
데이터사이언스학부 학생은 1~2학년 동안 학부 공통 교육과정을 이수한 후, 3학년 진학 시 데이터사이언스전공 또는 심리뇌과학전공 중 하나를 주전공으로 배정받게 됩니다. 이에 따라 3학년 진학 전 별도의 전공배정 신청 기간에 두 전공 중 제1지망 및 제2지망 전공을 각각 선택하여 신청해야 합니다. 각 전공별 배정 가능 인원에는 정해진 비율이 있으며, 특정 전공에 신청자가 배정 가능 인원을 초과하여 몰릴 경우 누적 평점 등을 기준으로 전공이 배정됩니다. 따라서 학생 본인의 성적 및 전공별 신청 현황에 따라 제1지망이 아닌 제2지망 전공으로 배정될 수 있습니다.
다만, 본 자료는 학생들의 수강 계획 수립을 돕기 위한 참고자료이며, 교육과정에 포함된 모든 교과목이 해당 학기에 반드시 개설되는 것은 아닙니다. 매학기 실제 개설 교과목은 교강사, 강의실, 대학 사정 등에 따라 변동될 수 있으므로, 수강신청 전 반드시 수강편람 및 HY-in/포털의 교육과정, 개인별 졸업요건을 확인하시기 바랍니다. 또한 전공배정 신청 시기, 신청 방법, 배정 기준 등 세부사항은 매년 별도로 공지되는 전공배정 안내문을 반드시 확인하시기 바랍니다.
+외국인 학생 유의 사항: 한국 대학의 학년도는 일반적으로 3월에 시작되며, 3월에 시작되는 학기가 1학기입니다. 9월에 입학한 외국인학생의 경우에도 한국 학제에 따라 학년이 승급됩니다. 예를 들어 2026년 9월에 입학한 학생이라도 학적상 학년은 2027년 3월에 2학년, 2028년 3월에 3학년으로 변경됩니다. 이 경우 2028년 3학년 진학 전인 2027년 12월경 전공배정 신청 대상이 되므로, 전공배정 신청 시기와 관련 공지를 반드시 확인해야 합니다.

The curriculum roadmap organizes the courses included in the curriculum by recommended year and semester. It is intended to help first-year students, international students, and students who are not yet familiar with the curriculum structure understand the overall flow of major courses more easily.
Students in the School of Data Science complete the common curriculum during their first and second years. When advancing to the third year, students are assigned to one of two majors: the Department of Data Science or the Department of Cognitive Science. Before advancing to the third year, students must apply for major assignment during the designated application period by selecting their first-choice and second-choice major from the two available majors. Each major has a designated allocation ratio. If the number of applicants for a particular major exceeds the available quota, students will be assigned based on criteria such as cumulative GPA. Accordingly, depending on the student’s academic record and the number of applicants for each major, a student may be assigned to their second-choice major instead of their first-choice major.
Please also note that the academic year in Korea generally begins in March, and the semester beginning in March is the first semester. International students advance in year level according to the Korean academic calendar. For example, even if a student is admitted in September 2026, the student’s official year level will change to the second year in March 2027 and to the third year in March 2028. In this case, the student will be subject to major assignment before advancing to the third year and should apply for major assignment around December 2027. Students must therefore carefully check the relevant notices regarding the major assignment application period.
Please note that this roadmap is provided as a reference to support students’ course planning. Not all courses listed in the curriculum are necessarily offered every semester. Actual course offerings may vary depending on instructor availability, classroom availability, and other academic circumstances. Students must check the course catalog, HY-in/portal curriculum information, and their individual graduation requirements before course registration. Students must also refer to the separate annual notice on major assignment for detailed information, including the application period, application method, and assignment criteria.
